Welcome to Travel Tuesday

This time we're talking about one of our not-so-good trips, Slovenia, where our regional conference was to be held.

Getting there was a hassle, since there were no direct flights to near where we were going.  So it was take a train to Kiev, fly to Budapest, pick up our rental vans (all of us were going the same way) and drive through Hungary and Croatia to Slovenia.  We got to our hotel in Slovenia at around 2 a.m., after taking a wrong way leaving Budapest. A few people were sent to the wrong rooms, but we got to the right place - an A frame cottage near the end of the property.  I had a cold the entire time and felt miserable. In our bathroom, the shower leaked onto the floor and no one ever came to fix it.  I went to the pool/waterpark once and was overwhelmed by the crowd.  One time I needed to look for Luke, and it took me over an hour to find him.

I don't remember much else about the conference, except to be glad it was over! We do not have any photos of our trip or our time in Slovenia, but it was memorable for different reasons.  Thankfully most of our other trips to regional conferences were memorable for better reasons.
